Wonderful French Empire Period Bookcase

An important French Deux Corps or Bookcase, an original piece from the Empire period. Made from Oak and very stylish with its brass caps and carved decoration. The top has shelving and key is present. One small corner of one pain of glass is missing which hardly shows. The base has 3 drawers that all run smoothly. The back is lovely all hand adzed out. The overall original colour and patina is warm and very pleasant. In excellent original condition for the home.
