Very Fine French Empire Chest of Drawers

A wonderful quality French Empire Chest of Drawers or Commode dating to 1820 (Regency). Made from Cuban Mahogany and having the original grey marble top which is perfect. The ormolu mounts are crisp and very well cast. The 4 drawers are oak lined with excellent dovetails and run smoothly. One handle centre piece is missing (see photo) from bottom drawer. This is undoubtedly from Paris and a very fine example, having been re finished to a very high standard in excellent condition for the home.
