Quality Walnut Bureau Bookcase Desk C.1900

A superb quality Queen Anne Bureau Bookcase, made from walnut with solid oak construction and having fine burr walnut veneers cross banded with walnut herringbone inlays. A rare feature is the double dome top, the top lockable (key present) doors open to reveal 3 fully adjustable shelves. The lockable (key present) Bureau fall opens and is supported on 2 lopers that pull out, inside are pigeon holes and small drawers fronted with burr walnut. The main drawers below all run smoothly and fitted with original brass swan neck handles. Furniture from this period comes in a variety of qualities and this in the rolls royce, its heavy, always a good sign and the construction is excellent.
