Important French Oak Hunting Centre Table

We are pleased to offer this extremely rare French Hunting Table with wonderful carved dogs to the legs. We have had hunting tables before but never with the dogs. These tables were used to toast the hunt and today are used as centre tables but they do have the ability to extend out, the top splits and small legs drop down, you then would have placed boards on the runners (see photos of underneath). The carving detail is very well executed and a real talking point. Dating to the mid 19th Century and made from oak. We have bleached it for a lighter look and in overall excellent original condition for the home.
