Finest Quality Burr Walnut Victorian Library Bookcase

We are very pleased to offer this superb early Victorian bookcase in burr walnut. This is the finest quality Library Bookcase we have seen for many many years. The burr walnut that covers the entire bookcase is the best, very well figured and well executed. The bookcase has 3 doors to both top and bottom. The top doors are fitted with original plate glass and open to reveal 4 fully adjustable shelves, the bottom doors open to reveal a single adjustable shelf. All of the 6 locks are original and of the best quality, we have had all of them serviced and there a 2 keys which operate all the locks. The 6 corbels that adorn the bookcase are very finely carved out of solid walnut. All the mouldings, the plinth and the curved cornice are also covered in burr walnut. This is a real Exhibition piece and everything is totally original a very rare item indeed.
